High School Competitive Cheerleading Season is November 11, 2024 - March 2, 2025
Practice, gymnastics, and weekly competitions 5-6 days a week. Not including holiday breaks.
High School Cheerleaders compete in all three rounds.
ROUND 1- Maximum Points Possible: 240
Competitors are scored on: Floor Mobility, Vocals, Two Required Jumps, Team
Coordination, Difficulty, and Variety (level changes, ripples, enhancements, choreography),
and General Impression.
ROUND 2- Maximum Points Possible: 234
Competitors are evaluated in the following categories:n10-count Precision Drill, 5, Different Skills (at least one jump*, one flexibility skill*, and one tumbling skill), and
General Impression. Skills have different maximum point values ranging from 5 –14 points, depending on the skill difficulty.
ROUND 3- Maximum Points Possible: 324
Judges award points for Floor Mobility, Vocals, Team Coordination, Skills, and General Impression. Subcategories are Variety, Difficulty, Execution, and Choreography.
Teams are awarded placement based on the total team score at the end of each competition.
- Junior Varsity will have 10-12 competitions per season.
- Varsity will have 10-12 competitions per season before the post-season begins.
- Post season is Districts February 16-17, 2025, top 4 advance to Regionals
- Regionals February 24, 2025, top 4 advance to State Finals
- State Finals, the first weekend of March.
- Division 2 State Finals will be held March 2, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. at McGuirk Arena, CMU.
